Drake
David Drake
is a native of
Mt. Sterling
,
Kentucky
where he came to know the Lord at the age of ten.
After moving to
Florida
at the age of twelve. He met a
pretty red hair girl who would later become his wife.
David and Jody were married on
June 21, 1975
. They have a daughter, Jolene and son-in-law, Matthew Miller, of
Alachua,
Florida. A
son, Steven and daughter-in-law, Robyn Drake of
Yulee
,
Florida
. They have three grandchildren,
Hannah Renee Drake of
Yulee,
Florida,
Matthew Drake Miller and Jackson Eli Miller of Alachua, Florida.
David has an earned Doctor of Ministry Degree from Luther Rice Seminary.
After pastoring churches in
Florida
for nearly twenty-seven years, he became Director of
Missions
of The Northeast Florida Baptist Association in July 2002.
David has taught on the evening school faculty of The Moody Bible
Institute and traveled oversees to minister the Gospel in
Jamaica,
Scotland,
Israel,
Jordon,
Philippines,
Guyana,
Brazil
and
Honduras.
David is also a Chaplain endorsed by the North American Mission Board and serves
as Chaplain for the Nassau County Sheriff's Office.
